Roger Ebert
Roger Ebert is, to say the least, has a powerful spirit. After reading an article about his life, found here, my first impression was "Wow". Ebert is a very famous movie critic. He has gone through countless surgeries due to cancer and he lost his voice. I cannot imagine losing my own voice but this man has such a powerful spirit. The human spirit is a wonderful thing, and the spirit is something that makes humans especially unique. Ebert does not look at himself any differently. I walk down the hallways of high school and people worry about the silliest things, "OMG he didn't text me back last night!!! FML!" People don't take the time to appreciate the little things in life. Reading about Ebert, I've learned I should be thankful for everything, and take nothing for granted.

Gobble Gobble!
Happy Thanksgiving! Especially on a day like Thanksgiving, it is a great example of how unique the human species really is. We give thanks to the people and things in our lives. We are truly an intellectually and emotionally unique form of life, unlike any other animal. Besides, when was the last time you saw a turkey with its turkey family eating a turkey feast for dinner and giving thanks to all that is good in life?
What Does it Mean to be Human?
The moment I started writing this post, I looked at the World Population Clock and it said that the current human population is 6,857,804,277. That is how many humans there are. 6,857,804,277 that will live a life, short or long, in prosperity or poverty, going through the human experience. But what does it mean exactly to be human? Well, there's going to be 6,857,804,277 answers to that question but in the current unit we are learning about in Gifted and Talented will hopefully guide my way to a genuine answer. I want to be able to answer that question. By the way, at the end of this post, I looked back at the population clock, and there will now be 6,857,805,348 answers to the question, "What does it mean to be human?"
Who Am I?
My name is Ronak and I am a part of Gifted and Talented Seminar 2 at my high school. I like to make music and one day I want to learn how to play the Erhu, which is a Chinese violin. My classmates in the Gifted and Talented class learn about several different topics.
